Safeguarding

Promoting a Safer Church

The parish of Brindle St. James' is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies.

The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital information, including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our Parish Safeguarding officer Susan Boult. You can contact Susan by telephone on 01772 323 481.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please also contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

A copy of the safeguarding statement issued by the Brindle St. James parish parochial church council is available on this link.
